Touch when you have surgery?
Research shows that surgical wounds heal faster and pain is less when a patient has energetic support, such as Healing Touch, for surgery. Length of hospital stay is also often reduced. With surgery, not only is the physical body cut, but also the energy body.
The energy field acts as a blueprint for the physical body-meaning the body looks to the energy field to decide how it will build and repair. This is much like the way a builder looks at architect blueprints to see how to proceed with building. If we can right away repair the energy field after surgery, it is immediately giving the message to the body to build and repair in a whole, healed way. And, if a patient goes into surgery with the field open and flowing, holding a higher vibration, healing is happening even as the surgery is taking place.
Healing Touch puts the body in a position for optimal health and healing. It can also help relieve the fear patient’s often experience surrounding a surgery. In the midst of all the poking and prodding that are a necessary part of being a hospital patient, the gentle warmth of Healing Touch can be a welcome relief and a genuine, deep comfort in a sea of unknowns.

Surgery was a big unknown for me. I was angry and frightened. I began researching what I could do to have an impact on my surgery’s outcome.
I contacted Lauri Pointer regarding Healing Touch Therapy to find out how her work applies to surgery and healing. She asked me for the specifics of my surgery, how I was feeling about the surgery and what I wanted as a result.
My first meeting with Lauri was in her office before surgery. Together we “designed” the operating room and those around me. This visualization was so real and so beautiful.
Lauri was with me on the day of surgery and brought her love, healing energy, professionalism, and compassion. My surgery was four hours long on Monday morning. The hospital staff who supported me were beautiful, friendly, and funny- just as we had visualized. I went home Wednesday evening fully confident that I was ready to go home. I know Lauri’s work was significant to me going home in just three days.

Surgery Support
Research shows that surgical wounds heal faster and pain is less when a patient has energetic support, such as Healing Touch, for surgery. Length of hospital stay is also often reduced. My surgery support package includes a session the day before surgery, a session at the hospital or surgery center following surgery as soon as the patient is out of the recovery room, and two more days of visits either at the hospital or the client’s home.
Surgery Support Fee Package $275 (4 sessions)
Energy is not limited by time and space. It is therefore possible to give a Healing Touch treatment from a distance. A typical long distance session begins with a phone call to conduct an intake and set an intention. It is ideal for the client to be resting during the session, but this is not absolutely necessary. I connect intuitively with the client's energy and then with focus and intention conduct a session to clear, energize, and balance the client's energy, much the same way I would if the client were present with me. Upon completion of the session, I type up a treatment report and send it to the client, including all intuitive information that has come up during the session.
Adult Distance Healing Fee $75 per 1-hour treatment (including report)
Animal Distance Healing Fee $65 per 1-hour treatment (including report)
Animals are very open and responsive to Healing Touch. Healing Touch can be beneficial for reduction of pain, surgery support, cancer support, arthritis, etc.--much the same as it is for humans. The Healing Touch session also offers an opportunity to connect intuitively with the animal, to gain clarity on what they need.
